This unit came in a console I purchased as a replacement console, that console had a manufacture date of 9/15/2004, drive had the belt replaced as a preliminary repair and was the tested which gives the error of failure to read disc/insert disc that would be recognized by Xbox. No other repairs were attempted as I am unfamiliar.
