copper penny token issued during the early 19th-century small change
shortage in Britain. These privately struck provincial tokens were
produced by copper manufacturers and circulated locally as trade
currency.
Diameter approximately 36mm. Diagonally reeded edge.
Condition:
Circulated
example with even wear and attractive dark chocolate tone. Legends and
date clear. Some light surface marks consistent with age. No major rim
