This is a good quality, Made in Japan, OEM dual function unit for select Sharp camcorders.  It will work on other brands that use the same style battery and have the same power requirements.

It charges the camcorder's battery and is also an AC adapter to power the camcorder via a wall plug.

Input:  110-240 VAC

Output through the DC port:  4.5 VDC @ 2A

Note that the DC cable is not included, just the charger.  The DC cable runs from this adapter to the camcorder and allows the camcorder to operate without a battery.  It is not needed just to charge the battery.
