Striking pair of Art Deco wall sconces, attributed to the French metalworker Raymond Subes and dating from the 1920s–1930s. The design reflects the refined geometry and sculptural elegance characteristic of French decorative metalwork from the interwar period.
Each sconce features a vertical brass rod framed by painted wrought iron, wrapped with a distinctive spiral band that creates a dynamic architectural rhythm. The structure extends into a graceful curved arm terminating in a scroll, supporting the bulb holder. Small spherical accents and turned metal finials add subtle decorative detail.
