Description

Grade

  1. This is a 2004 Gibson 50s Les Paul Standard Plus.
  2. In Japan during this period, Gibsons were distributed through Yamano Music, a distributor known for its high inspection standards, and it's said that only very high-quality guitars were distributed.
  3. The maple top of the body is quite thick, with a beautiful, wild flame pattern that spreads out, and it's a high-quality wood that changes its appearance dramatically depending on the angle. There are also many flecks, suggesting it's a very hard maple.
  4. The mahogany back of the body has a beautiful flat grain. One-piece backs were common during this era, and since one-piece backs have become rare in the regular line since the 2010s, this is now a valuable specification.
  5. The total weight is 4.7 kg, a typical Les Paul weight. It likely doesn't use weight relief.
  6. The neck has a round C shape, but it has a cleaner look than the more rounded round C of recent 50s models.
  7. The fretboard is made of tightly grained Indian rosewood.
  8. The pickups are Burstbucker Pros, which were used for a long time on standard models in the 2000s. While these are generally bright, modern pickups that easily handle distortion, this particular instrument has a darker character while still possessing the thick, characteristic Les Paul sound.

Appearance

  1. Considering its age, the condition is very clean. There is only a small, minor dent on the top from use. The electronics and neck are in perfect working order.

Functional

  1. Body weight 4680g (10.31763lb)
