2012 (S) American Silver Eagle – NGC Certified, Struck at San Francisco Mint

This is a 2012 American Silver Eagle bullion coin (1 oz .999 fine silver), business strike with no mint mark visible on the coin itself. It has been authenticated and certified by NGC as having been specially struck at the San Francisco Mint facility (distinguished from West Point strikes via pedigree and label attribution). The holder features the Early Releases designation (indicating it was submitted to NGC within the first 30 days of release) and the distinctive brownish/tan label with "SAN FRANCISCO" prominently displayed at the bottom. The label also includes the "(S)" designation to note the San Francisco origin. Often pedigreed simply as "Struck at San Francisco" on these brown labels. This variety is popular among collectors due to the special San Francisco production run for 2012 bullion Silver Eagles.

Note the bluish color seen on the coin pictured is not visible to the naked eye, that pale blue coloring is a result of the high-intensity full spectrum scanner.  The bluish areas in the scan look bright silver to the naked eye.  THE PINKISH TONE OF THE SLAB IS ALSO DUE TO THE SCANNER, IT IS WHITE IN HAND.
