This is an original hammer for the Smith & Wesson 1st Model Double Action Revolver (top break). It was found in a gun shop in Montevideo, Uruguay that closed down in the second half of the 20th century. Most of the parts in that gun shop were from the 1880 to 1920 period, although some of the parts came from even earlier in the 19^thcentury.

This hammer will be insured for the purchase price when shipped. If you buy more than one item we will try to combine items in the shipping when possible. This hammer priced very reasonably for a basically impossible-to-find Smith & Wesson part. We will not contemplate any offers for a lower price or a deal on multiple items.
