I'm selling the Lurchmobile stealth camper. Whilst it may look like a charming family business on the outside, inside is a fully-insulated camper.

I built it as a stealth camper to go collect gliders from around Europe, but it's done what I needed it to do, so I'd rather it went to someone who can get some use out of it.

Good bits:

- Custom graphics to distract customs from the 9m trailer on the back (note: does not work in France, as I found out when meeting Europe's angriest customs officer).

- The back is fully insulated and clad with Rockwool and aluminium bubble foil. I've slept in this thing well below zero and been fine.

- Thermal curtains for belt and braces.

- Small double in the back so you can take your partner or a *very* close mate. I'm 6'2" and it fits me fine.

- MOT until June.

- Brand new towbar.

- Brand new alternator, as fitted by myself in a car park in one of Belgium's more scenic industrial estates.

- Bodywork pretty tidy for a 16yo ex-plasterer's van (apart from a bubble on one of the wheel arches).

- Engine good, battery good, gearbox good, clutch managed to haul big old trailers about. It's even surprisingly nippy (like me x).

- A true 50MPG when not towing.

- Loads of space under the bed.

Bad bits:

- Whilst it is in MOT, I think the drop links / bushings might need doing for the next one.

- I inadvertently poked a small hole through the bonnet (dropped it onto the old alternator, which was sat on the engine). Whilst this 

was clearly for better airflow and a sporty new look, purists would class this as 'body damage'.

- As mentioned, knock/squeak from the front. Might need a couple more bits doing for the next MOT.

- The check light came on when the alternator died, but I'll clear it.

I've driven this thing 1000s of miles in the last few months, and if it wasn't for the crippling expenditure of a wedding hurtling towards me, I'd probably keep it.

Please note: this is a stealth camper in the back of a Vauxhall Combo - as such, I wasn't able to install a sink, table, or bidet. It's basically a replacement for a tent.
