Kyle Teel was then drafted by the Boston Red Sox 14th overall from the University of Virginia in the 2023 MLB Draft and advanced all the way to AAA within a years time, where he had a .374 OBP, will flashing big time power as well as speed. He rose to become the number 25 overall prospect in MLB. Then the twist… he became the centerpiece of the Red Sox trade for Garrett Crochet, and is now the White Sox catcher of the future. After dominating in AAA in early 2025 with a .394 OBP and being on pace for a 20/20 season, He joined the White Sox.
