Vintage Tissot Seastar Quartz wristwatch, Swiss made, dating from the late 1970s / early 1980s.
The watch features a distinctive angular stainless steel case and an attractive light silver / grey dial with applied baton hour markers and a date window.
Inside is a Swiss ETA 2030 quartz movement, a well-known early Swiss quartz calibre used by Tissot during the early quartz era.
The watch is fitted with a genuine Tissot metal bracelet and retains its classic Seastar design, which has become increasingly collectible among vintage Tissot enthusiasts.
NOTE : Condition / Fault
The watch requires repair and is being sold as a project or for spares.
No battery currently installed.
When the crown is turned, the hour hand moves normally but the minute hand only moves slightly and does not advance properly.
A grinding noise can be heard when turning the crown.
The issue is likely within the setting mechanism / cannon pinion area, but the watch has not been fully tested.
Because of this fault the watch is being sold as non-working for repair or parts - no returns please. If this will keep you awake at nights, then best not to buy.
