Mach3 blades are made from high-quality stainless steel, strengthened with atomic carbon to help keep them sharper for longer. With its 3 blade construction, a Mach3 cartridge can cut through each hair up to 3 times with each stroke for a classic smooth shave.

At the front of each blade, a microfin guard stretches the skin, helping to flatten the skin's surface ahead of the blades. Mach3 blades rest on springs, allowing each blade to react to subtle changes in the skin's surface, moving up and down when necessary. When the Lubrastrip is wet, it releases cushioning lubrication onto the skin. The combination of these 3 features results in a slick, smooth shave.

The Mach3 comes in light grey and black. The handle is ergonomically designed for a comfortable and precise shave, featuring easy-grip elastomer lines to help prevent slippage when wet. This helps to ensure control at all times. The Mach3 handle is compatible with all Mach3 blades.

The Gillette Mach3 razor has a front pivot, meaning that the handle is fixed to the cartridge in front of the blades. This front pivot mechanism helps to distribute pressure more evenly across the cartridge and away from the blades. Mach3 blades are also very easy to clean, thanks to the open architecture of the cartridge.
