This SACD/CD player features a USB DAC. The USB DAC section supports 32-bit/384kHz PCM and 2.8/5.6MHz DSD. The DAC features TI's PCM1792A in a dual mono configuration, as well as TI's TAS3152 DSP, which upsamples PCM signals to up to 384kHz. The 32-bit DSP uses three digital filters for PCM signals, while the DAC chip's built-in analog FIR filter allows for switching between two sound quality levels for DSD signals. Asynchronous USB communication ensures low jitter transmission. The included LUXMAN Audio Player software for Windows and Macintosh supports not only DSD and FLAC, but also Apple Lossless and AIFF formats. The disc drive mechanism is the company's original LxDTM.
