Very old rare coverlet!! Beautiful Colors, Blue & Natural. Eagle coverlet. Signature block contains a school house dated 1851 with banners containing letter F.  The borders have Eagles and floral designs.  Sewn edges on top with fringe on 3 sides with some loss to both sides.  2 pieces with good center seam. Photos show details of both sides of coverlet. No holes detected. The top rolled edge is in excellent condition, with no visible wear, but exhibits light staining from age. The bottom fringe is in excellent condition, but the Blue side fringe has some loss in spots. Center seam is in excellent condition. There is a small repair (dime-sized) in the schoolhouse as seen in the photos. One corner block is whiter as it looks to have been protected from the light.
