LONG WAVE & SHORT WAVE UV

Nice etched Fluorite crystal section with triangular zoning in the center and a couple of unknown accessory minerals including a patch of fibrous mineral with a cream color, Strontianite, Aragonite (?), and a small translucent golden yellow crystal embedded in the Fluorite. The Fluorite is nice sized and semi pyramid shaped with the backside being flat and rough in texture from etching. The entire crystal is etched showing tiny stepped crystal faces.

I don't have much info on this as it was in a collection I acquired a few years ago and only had Cave in Rock written on a torn piece of paper.

Under 365nm long wave UV it fluoresces blue with some feint yellow (photos 5,14).

Under 254nm short wave UV the Fluorite is light purple-ish and feint yellow and the white fibrous mineral a red (photos 2,13).

From The Cave in Rock mining District, Hardin County, Illinois.

5.9 cm length roughly.

I do combine shipping!

I use a Convoy S2 long wave UV light and a 5 watt short wave lamp for my UV images, you will need the same to match the photos.
