1938 Wembley Lions and Wembley Monarchs Ice Hockey stamps in album of issue. There are twelve player stamps in each set. Nearly all of the players are either Canadian or played in the Canadian or American Minor Leagues.

They are: 1938 Wembley Lions: Ed Murphy;Alex Archer; Richard 'Toad' Klein (from Saskatoon Saskatchewan and also played for the Lethbridge Maple Leafs, Yorkton Terriers and Fresno Falcons); Albert Lemay; Sonny Rost from Winnipeg Manitoba; Roy Musgrove also played for the Flin Flon Bombers; Ab Welsh from Saskatoon also played for the Saskatoon Quakers; Cam Shewan also played for the Moose Jaw Millers; Glen Morrison also played for the Vancouver Maple Leafs, San Diego Skyhawks and Vancouver Vanguards; Bobby Keane; Lou Bates from Ottawa Ontario; and Tony LeMay who also played for the Ottawa Senators and St. Hyacinthe Gaulois.

1938 Wembley Monarchs: Art Child who also played for the Hamilton Tigers; Jack Milford from Charlottetown P.E.I. also played for the Lethbridge Maple Leafs, Cleveland Barons, Dallas Texans and New Haven Eagles; Gordon Dailley; Jakie Nash also played for the Kimberley Dynamiters; Len Godin from Campbell Bay Quebec also played for the Valleyfield Braves and Hamilton Dofascos; Alec Sinclair; Frank Cadorette also played for Montreal Concordia; Frankie LeBlanc; Jimmy Haggarty from Port Arthur Ontario also played for the Montreal Royals and Valleyfield Braves; Rene Lorite; Wally Rost also played for the St. Catharines G.M. Chiefs; and Sammy Gigliotti also played for the Johnstown Blue Birds. The British Leagues were full of Canadian players at the time(and still are). They won Olympic Hockey Gold in 1936, with a mostly Canadian team.
