1894-95 Elgin National Watch Co 17 Jewel Pocket Watch – For Parts / Repair

Antique Elgin National Watch Co. pocket watch, serial number 4,988,579, dating to approximately 1894–1895.

• Measures just over 2" with case; as close to exact measurements, as we can give confidently, are available upon request.

• Illinois Watch Co. “Bona Fide 20 Year” gold filled case

• Case serial: 5,331,901

This watch was carefully disassembled several years ago, pulled it out to reassemble and, as you can see, I never reassembled  or repaired. All parts shown in photos are included. I believe most components are present; however, I cannot guarantee every small screw or internal piece is accounted for.

Condition: • Not running

•One of the wheels shows damage; possibly  to the steel pinion and wheel. (SHOWN IN CLOSE UP PHOTO) Movement will require parts for restoration. I am not a professional in watch repair or watches at all. These are just my personal observations.

The plating does show significant wear on the side edge (main body of the face and movement), the winding mechanism, ans minor scratches and brassy tone showing throughout. Some scratches on the crystal.
