Vintage Mr. B of California muumuu / caftan dress featuring a dramatic hand-sequined bodice and bold Hawaiian-inspired floral print throughout.

This is a true vintage piece likely dating to the mid-century to early 1970s California resort era, when loose, glamorous lounge silhouettes were popular for at-home entertaining, cruise wear, and Palm Springs or Hawaii vacations. Mr. B of California specialized in statement leisurewear meant to drape effortlessly while still feeling elevated and decorative.

Design details include a deep V neckline, heavily sequined chest panel with symmetrical beadwork, wide dolman-style sleeves, and a flowing oversized silhouette that moves beautifully on the body. Fabric has a soft, lightweight feel with excellent drape.
