Authentic antique leather-covered gunpowder flask dating to the late 18th or early 19th century, likely of Ottoman or Balkan origin. Features a round leather body constructed over a wood core, with hand stitching, applied metal rosette decoration, domed rivet bosses, and a long tapered metal spout with original chain-attached cap.
This type of flask was used for storing and dispensing black powder for muskets and early firearms. Construction, materials, and wear are all consistent with period manufacture.
A strong original example with honest age-related wear and untouched patina.
