Player Notes: Richardson is a physical specimen. He has one of the strongest arms in the NFL. He is one of the fastest quarterbacks in the league, and he is 6’4” 245 Lbs. it is take no surprise, given the tools, that he was drafted #4 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. So yes, of course his accuracy has not been as good as anyone had hoped… and yes, while his physical tools translate very well to the NFL, it is not quite clear yet whether his information processing has yet caught up to the speed of the game… but at the same time, even at the time of the draft, he was positioned as a developmental prospect, and he has only played in 15 career games, less than a full season… and he just turned 23… so let’s also give a break too. Yes, Bleacher Report listed him as one of the 8 players in the NFL with the most to prove in 2025… but that’s a compliment… if the potential wasn’t there, then proving it isn’t even discussed. Unfortunately injury derailed his season, so it still isn’t clear what the results were from his learning the game under Daniel Jones and Philip Rivers. let’s see if he gets better. Let’s see if he is making progress. Because he has the tools to be one of the best. Will he get the chance with the Colts? Hard to say. Will he get a chance at all? Most definitely.
