These Beatles monthly magazines were first issued in August of 1963 when publisher Sean O'mahony approached Brian Epstein with regards to producing a book telling the everyday story of the Beatles lifestyle.  Epstein agreed and the first book was released in August 1963 and continued up to edition 77 in December 1967. O'mahony edited the magazine under the fictitious name of Johnny Dean. In 1976 the original series of book numbers 1 to 77 we're reprinted and released up until 1982 when on the twentieth anniversary of " Love Me Do " the decision was made to continue the magazine with new content,  publication continued up to issue 321 with last issue in 2003
