Hello, I created this account as a way to list common LP titles at a lower price point more quickly than my process allows on my primary eBay account. This is the virtual discount bin. My long-time account can be found at seller name vivalafoma, check there for my seller ratings (since 2005) and additional listings for higher value items with detailed condition descriptions and more photos.
My goal with this discount account is to get some nice common titles, decent play copies and some 'scratchies' with some life left into the hands of folks building a collection the way I started 35+ years ago. I've been collecting records since I was a kid in the 80's, and have accumulated way more than I need. It's time to clear up some space.
I love the format, and respect the hobby. Every record listed here, regardless of price or condition, has been cleaned with an ultrasonic record cleaning machine and dried with a record vacuum. This process doesn't make a well-used record new again, but it will be brought back to life as much as it can be. Each record will be shipped in a poly inner and outer sleeve. Records shipped outside of jackets unless sealed. Combine shipping and save.
Grading: visual only, these are not play tested. separate grade for vinyl and sleeve. all records are cleaned as described above and sold as is. see the photos, they are always of the copy listed. I try to grade conservatively.
VG+: these will be nice and glossy with only slight superficial marks or hairlines. standard VG+ condition or better. sleeve will have only minimal shelf wear, no splits or stains. nice copies all around.
VG: these may have more marks and light scuffs/hairlines. still no feelable scratches. maybe some cloudiness/ loss of gloss. maybe a very slight storage warp that doesn't affect play. very clearly used and not babied by previous owners, but should be reasonable play copies. sleeve will show shelf/edge wear and/or creasing. may have some slight discoloration or sticker removal marks/residue. may have small seam splits, cut/punch outs or illegible areas of the spine. will still be intact and presentable.
G: these will be covered with light scuffing/hairlines and maybe other more pronounced marks, but still no deep scratches. maybe cloudiness/ loss of gloss. maybe a storage warp that doesn't affect play. clearly used, looks like it lived life outside the sleeve, but no serious damage. sleeve will show heavy shelf/edge wear and/or creasing. may have some staining, paper loss or sticker removal marks/residue. may have seam splits, cut/punch outs or illegible areas of the spine. playable copies, but not for the fussy for sure.
