What year this Philadelphia Athletics license plate topper may have been made is a good question. The Vernon Company that dealt in advertising and promotions has been around since 1902. This Athletic souvenir has survived nicely. It's got some nicks and scratches especially along its edges, but it doesn't look like it has been used. That could indicate a more recent date of manufacture, but I can't imagine it being that recent...why would anyone want a Phildelphia item made even within the last fifty years?
