Women's Vintage 1960/70's Blue White Red Plaid Knit Drop Waist DRESS Size 8 US

This dress DOES have a couple holes/imperfections in the blue top under the collar and the holes go through both layers of material, and also holes in the bonded material under the plaid skirt. The holes under the collar would be on back right shoulder area. They are hidden when shirt collar is down when not on a body, I don't know how they appear on a body. Hole under collar is approx 1/8- 1/4". All of these have been photographed. Some of the buttons look to have scratches or slight iron or dryer marks.

There are no tags/sizing/washing instructions for the dress. I did have a smaller figured person in my household try on the dress and it did fit them, that is how I came to the size 8- modern size 8, NOT a vintage 8. A vintage 8 is very small, more like a 0-4. This IS NOT a 0-4. The person I had try it on undid all the buttons and stepped into it, they did not pull it over their head, it would have been too tight. The dress did come well above their knees by about 5" , like a minidress would have in that time period, but on a shorter torso person may come down a little further. Everyone is built different, and this was based on someone about 5'1". I do not post pictures of real people trying on the items. Please take a look at the measurements I have listed below to determine the fitting.

Measurements across dress have been doubled where needed such as bust and hips. I have measured these in the pictures.

18" armpit to armpit

36" bust

34" approximate natural waist.

35" hip

(measures 17.5" across front)

16" shoulder seam to shoulder seam

34" back of neck to hem

32" central front of neck to hem

24" armpit to hem

21 3/4" approximate natural waist to hem (everyone is made a little different)

12" vertical skirt length.

This seems to be a bonded synthetic material. It is a knit type material top, with a bonded type lining inside. You can see through the top if held up to the light. The bottom may be wool but it is lightweight, with bonded material attached to the  back. I do not know if it is machine washable or dry clean only. The material has no odors to it.

This did come from an estate cleanout that did have pets. I try my best to eliminate any pet hair that may end up on items as they are going out of homes, but sometimes there may be a stray hair here and there.
