I just need to quote from the manual: "The result of more than five years in development by an elite team of Meade optical designers and engineers, the Meade ETX is, without question, one of the most revolutionary telescopes to be developed in the past 25 years."

Wow. And the company is now out of business. But what gets me excited about this telescope is that, when I research it on-line, everyone has very positive things to say about these older Meade, made in U.S.A, telescopes.

I have set it up and looked across the park in front of my house to the houses en entire block away. You can see if the paint is peeling and the windows need cobwebs removed from the corners! I have not put in batteries in the drive base, so have not tested that.

Anyway, an amazing piece of equipment in the original box. Please consult pictures for condition, included parts, etc.
This will ship in 2 separate boxes: one for the telescope and another for the tripod. Both will be sent insured.
