Use this radio wire harness when replacing your factory radio with an aftermarket radio while retaining most or all factory features.
This adapter provides what you will need to retain certain features of your vehicle that are normally lost when replacing your factory radio such as OnStar®, Sync® or Bluetooth® Wireless connectivity if your vehicle is equipped. It also has our patented built-in steering wheel control technology combined with our patented auto-detect feature that automatically detects the vehicle type, radio connection, and preset controls while allowing the ability to dual-assign steering wheel controls. This adapter also provides telematics retention, such as SYNC®, OnStar®, and UVO® while offering solutions for amplified, non-amplified, and analog vehicles.

This interface will also work in vehicles listed below that are not equipped with OnStar.
New radio has to have ability for some of the above features to be retained.
The steering wheel audio retention feature works on most brand name radios with the 3.5mm or wire input for steering control in the back of radio. Usually only works with popular brand name radios like Kenwood, Alpine, etc.
