This is a lovely detailed pair of Antique Wood Palm Leaf Pali Manuscript Covers from Thailand.  I have been unable to locate any manuscript covers of this type for sale on eBay. The small glass prisms are geometric & give off a number of different reflections depending on how you hold it. I estimate the wood covers date from the early 1920's or perhaps earlier. This pair of covers was purchased by my father and myself in Bangkok in the late 1970's when he owned an antique shop in Penang, Malaysia.  We admired Thai Manuscripts (Samut Khoi) as well as their Wood Covers and actively collected them.  I believe this particular pair of covers was purchased at Peng Peng Antiques in the Bang Rak district of Bangkok in the vicinity of the Oriental Hotel.  Please note the detailed Condition Description referenced above & below.

Condition Description: The piece is in Fine Condition - there is some slight damage (missing small glass panel) on the corner of one of the covers and some of the underlying wood is exposed

Single Cover Dimensions: 22 3/4 inches long, 2 3/8 inches in Width & Depth of 1/4 of an inch.  Weight: 8.3 ounces (234 grams)
