Offered here is an original Northland “Schmidt” wooden hockey stick manufactured by Northland Ski Manufacturing Company, St. Paul, Minnesota, USA.

This example dates to the late 1950s to early 1960s and is constructed from choice selected Rock Elm, the premium hardwood used in competitive sticks during the golden era of North American hockey — prior to fiberglass reinforcement and composite technology.

Measuring approximately 60 inches in length, this is a full-size senior stick that has not been cut down.

The honey-toned rock elm grain remains vibrant, and the original Northland graphics are intact with natural age wear.
