Player Notes: I think it is fair to say that Cabrera is the best modern Detroit Tiger of all time. I know there are other viable options because the Tigers history is long and rich, but Cabrera was a 12x All Star, with over 3100 hits and over 500 HR. He won the Triple Crown and was a two time MVP… I never saw Ty Cobb play, but obviously his stats say that he is a top 10 All Time player, but even there it isn’t like Cabrera looks like chopped liver. Al Kaline has always been my favorite Tiger, but his 3000 hits and 400 HRs don’t quite stack up. Well regardless, Miggy is among the all time greats of the game regardless of team, and I am glad that I got to see him play. Now let’s cheer for Riley Greene…
