Antique 19th century tambour-top banker’s desk in oak, a highly distinctive and exceptionally well-crafted piece.

Very well made and of the finest quality, this desk features a rare and unusual design that makes it a highly desirable example.

The upper section has a tambour top that opens to reveal a beautiful green leather writing surface, complemented by multiple pigeonholes and compartments for organization. The base comprises nine drawers—four on either side with a central drawer—and a double-door cupboard in the middle with a single internal shelf, providing generous storage. A raised gallery to the top completes the elegant design.

The oak displays gorgeous grain and rich colour throughout, highlighting the craftsmanship and quality of the piece.

Solidly constructed and in great condition, this banker’s desk is both functional and visually striking. Truly a rare and unusual example, it must be seen in person to be fully appreciated, and would make a perfect addition to any home.
