Chrysoidine R (C.I. 11320), also known as Basic Red 9, is a cationic dye with the chemical formula C20H15N3Na2O9S2 and a molecular weight of 558.4 g/mol.
It is commonly used in biochemical, histological and cytological staining processes. This product is also used in the detection of proteins and nucleic acids and finds uses as a popular dye for organic tissue in fishing etc.
