slightly nicer variant with thameslink branding on the left breast
used for when on or near the line. which was not often as a thameslink driver, unlike freight or engineering where you are getting out to run the loco round, speak to the signalman or clean the wagon tops when clearing spoil.
thameslink drivers typically used vests for preparation of trains.
we typically used the CSR to communicate rather than signal post telephones or line side phones you only had a few minutes to investigate faults. due to the incredibly busy signalling areas around London, any fault lasting more than a few minutes you declared yourself a failure just to speed up the removal of your train. so rarely used for external fault finding either. listed as used due to age and as you can see worn, plainly not new and with some marks, would have been used with 319's, 317's and 377s.
