Howell Heflin signed and inscribed 8x9.75 black and white photograph. The signature and inscription are in blue felt tip ink and are in excellent condition. The photograph itself is also in very good condition; some light corner creasing, the back side is blank with the exception of Heflin's name and "USS-Alabama" written in blue pen ink. 
Howell Heflin was an American politician who served as a United States Senator from Alabama from 1979 to 1997. A member of the Democratic Party, Heflin was known for his moderate and often bipartisan approach to legislation. Before his Senate career, he served as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. During his time in the Senate, he focused on issues such as judicial reform, agriculture, and education. Heflin was respected for his deep knowledge of the law and commitment to his constituents. He passed away in 2005.
