Product Overview

This is a 2K (2-pack) direct gloss paint supplied in a tin. Once mixed with the correct hardener it produces a durable, glossy finish and does not require a clear lacquer. Ideal for high-quality partial or complete paintwork on cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles.

What You’ll Receive

  • Custom mixed 2K direct gloss paint in a tin (colour: Smart Graphite Grey EDC)
  • Hardener (when you select the + hardner option, the amount of hardener required will be provided e.g. a 2.5 Litre tin will give you a 1.25 Litre Bottle of Hardener)

Note: Colour names/codes are provided for identification. Shade can vary with substrate, primer colour, gun setup and application technique. Always test spray first.

Application (Spray Gun)

  1. Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from grease, rust and loose/old paint. Key/sand as required for adhesion. Degrease and tack off.
  2. Mixing: Mix 2 parts paint to 1 part hardener (2:1). Stir thoroughly until fully uniform.
  3. Gun setup: Use a 1.2 – 1.3mm nozzle, set pressure to 2.0 – 2.5 bar (approx.).
  4. Thinners: No thinners required (direct gloss system when mixed with hardener).
  5. Coats: Apply 1–2 even coats. Allow 10–15 minutes flash-off between coats at 20°C.
  6. Drying: Dust dry 25–30 mins • Touch dry 6–8 hours • Fully cured 24 hours (times increase in colder conditions).
  7. Finish: After curing, if needed, polish to increase gloss or remove minor imperfections.

Tip: Best results are achieved around 18–25°C with low humidity and good airflow.

Safety / PPE (Important)

  • Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.
  • Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Use in a well-ventilated area (ideally with extraction).
  • Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, and eye/face protection.
  • If on skin (or hair): Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Rinse skin with water/shower.
  • If inhaled: Move to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Seek medical advice if you feel unwell.

Always follow the product label and safety guidance. Suitable respiratory protection should be used when spraying paint products.

Storage & Notes

  • Store sealed, upright, cool and out of direct sunlight.
  • Mix only what you need for the job.
  • Always test on a small area before committing to the full panel.
