Vintage 3" tall packs of 8 Victor Recording Needles. The front says "Victor Home Recording Needles" "Victor Division RCA Victor Company", and pictures Nipper the dog right under a giant "V". The reverse says they could only be used to record and play Victor Home Recording Records. These were quite the innovation at the time. In the 1930s RCA Victor introduced pre-grooved vinyl records that you could use on the Radiola-Electrola radio phonograph Series, and some other RCA Victor products that had a built in microphone so anyone could record on a vinyl record at home. These were the beginning of home recording. You had to use these special needles. They are a genuine piece of phonograph and recording history. They were used into the 1940s when tape recorders took over. These are in unused condition, and show some typical minor aging. These are very nice and very unusual.
