Vintage West German mechanical wall clock, dating to circa 1960–1962, featuring a quality spring-driven, two-train movement with selectable multi-chime.

Works great!  Chimes 3 different songs and strikes the hour.

This is a classic post-war German export clock with solid construction, attractive proportions, and rich sound.

• Original 42 cm pendulum (marked on movement)

• Brass dial with silvered chapter ring and Roman numerals

• Shaped lower glass and carved wood crest

• Solid wood case with beaded trim

Movement Details

The movement is stamped:

“P.L. – 42 cm – Western Germany”

This indicates an original unbranded West German trade movement, typical of quality mid-century clocks made for export. These movements were intentionally unbranded and supplied to cabinet makers; no maker logo was ever applied.

Condition

• Case is solid with age-appropriate wear

• Dial graphics remain clear and attractive

• Movement is complete and clean for its age

• Pendulum and gong are present and correct

• Winding Key is included
