Description:

• Acquired in Florida at the Great Expectations Auction in Hastings that was clearing the estate of Stewart Fischer, living in Palatka Florida, who passed in early 2025.

• Stewart Fischer was a world renown mime who worked with Marcel Marceau.  He collected many of these harlequin figures, as well as bronze plaques, art and statues.

• This piece is done in bronze (non magnetic) and has a nice patina.

• The face, hands and pompoms have a lighter patina.

• Work done by E. Benoit, circa 1920.

• Marked France as well as E. Benoit.

• It sits on an square stone base that is either marble or onyx..

• This sculpture is sometime shown with a moon, Poirrot Avec Lune.

• Measures 3" x 3" and 6.25” tall.

• Nice patina to bronze.
