ITEM: Wartime Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Aeroplane Photo Supply real photo of BRITISH RAF WESTLAND LYSANDER III LIAISON OBSERVATION Aircraft. See scans,

Back is stamped APPROVED FOR RELEASE BY RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force), Aeroplane Photo Supply, Toronto, Canada. This is a wartime photo produced when Aeroplane Photo Supply made aircraft recognition photos during WWII under the authority of the RCAF. After the war they went on to continue selling aircraft photos commercially, but this is a real photo produced during World War II.

Photo came from Lt. Colonel Herschel F. Gibbs (S/N 0-820653)of Greencastle, Pennsylvania who was an AAF pilot in the 13th Air Force in the Pacific theater and then continued flying for the USAF during the early Cold War.
