Terrific ball handler that can create his own space or draw defenders in to create opportunity for others. In 23-24 he averaged 19.9 pts, 8.2 rebounds, 6.1 assists 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. So, how many NBA had those numbers or better in the 23-24 season? Any idea? That’s right, none.. if you drop the blocks per game from 1.5 down to 0.9, then there are two players with those stats, Scottie Barnes and Nikola Jokic. Did I mention that Barnes is only 23 - Enough about 23/4 though, how was the 2024/25 season ? Yep, you guessed it 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists again. He is a triple-double threat every single night… it is no surprise that the Raptors decided to make him the highest paid player in team history. But I am sure that money reduced his drive… slacking off in 2025/26? Nope, 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists per game.. he is a superstar.
