Salvatore Ferragamo Firenze
Portfolio / Document Pouch, Model P221
Italy, circa 1979–1983

Rectangular portfolio executed in two-tone brown printed suede, featuring a rare geometric monogram composed of interlocking “F” motifs arranged in a square lattice. The suede panel is framed in smooth dark brown leather with hand-finished edges and secured with a brass snap closure. The interior is fully leather-lined and stamped Salvatore Ferragamo Firenze – Made in Italy – P 221 in gold foil.

Produced during a transitional period in Ferragamo’s history, this piece reflects the house’s brief experimentation with abstract monogram design prior to the dominance of the Gancini motif. An elegant example of late 20th-century Italian luxury craftsmanship, combining restraint, material richness, and architectural patterning.

Please note: I have a wallet in the same pattern listed on Ebay as well. Please see my listings.
