Like all of our custom hitches, this CURT class 1 hitch has a vehicle-specific design. This means it is uniquely tailored to perfectly integrate with the frame and body shape of a select years and styles of certain vehicles. The custom-fit approach ensures the easiest possible installation, maximum strength and optimal functionality and appearance.
CURT class 1 hitches are ideal for adding cargo space to your car or for towing a small, lightweight trailer. The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver tube can accept the shank of a cargo carrier, bike rack or a ball mount. This trailer hitch kit comes with a ball mount included. It has a 3/4" diameter hole to accept a trailer ball, and the ball mount can be flipped to provide extra drop or rise for level towing.
No matter what you are towing, we want you to be able to Bring It® for years to come, and that is why all CURT trailer hitches are put through rigorous testing before being deemed ready to tow. We test each hitch to SAE J684 to ensure safety for you and your family. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for up to 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (Note: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component).
Exposure to the elements is inevitable for any trailer hitch. As such, we go to great lengths to ensure that our hitches are well-protected for the road ahead. All CURT trailer hitches undergo our industry-leading co-cured finishing process. First, the hitches are mechanically and chemically descaled. This creates a smooth surface for the rest of the finishing process. Then, they are dipped in a liquid A-coat solution, completely immersing the hitch and covering it inside and out with a rust-resistant coating. Next, a black powder coat finish is applied over the top of the A-coat. Finally, the two coatings are co-cured together, forming a final finish that offers superior rust, chip and UV protection.

CURT ball mounts are designed to be fast, easy and reliable for your light-duty or standard-duty towing needs. Ball mounts are made using state-of-the-art CNC machinery and robotic welding. This provides the accuracy and consistency in our ball mounts that we pride ourselves on and ensures that you receive the exact towing product you expect from an industry-leading manufacturer.
Ball mounts are all made with 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" shanks and have a 3/4" trailer ball hole. It features a capacity of 3,500 lbs. It is an excellent choice for full-size sedans, minivans, crossover SUVs and other vehicles that commonly use a class 1 trailer hitch. It is able to tow most utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, smaller livestock trailers and some recreational vehicle haulers (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). It measures 7-1/4" long, has a rise of 2-5/8" and a drop of 3-1/4". To give the class 1 ball mounts the edge they need to go wherever the road takes you, CURT coat each one in a highly durable black powder coat that provides a long-lasting defense against rust, UV damage, scratching, scuffing and chipping.
CURT 2" trailer balls are constructed from high-strength steel to match the towing power of your class 1 or class 2 trailer hitch and ball mount and come with fine threads on the shank for improved holding strength. Having a trailer ball that matches your coupler size is absolutely essential. At CURT, the trailer balls are engineered to be precisely fitted. When CURT stamp 2" into the top of each hitch ball, CURT actually mean 2". 2" balls are tested for your safety and meet all U.S. VESC specifications.

Returns
Our return policy is straight forward and customer friendly. You can feel confident shopping with us. We will take any item back within 30 days of purchase as long as it is within the constraints of the manufacturer's warranty return policy (which we are obligated to honor) and the following conditions are met:
The item must be in original, unused condition and must be returned in the original packaging.
We are unable to accept any item that has been installed and/or damaged. In addition, we cannot accept return items that are not in the original packaging. These are constraints set by product manufacturers, and we are obligated to honor their return policies. Items returned in poor condition or having parts missing will incur a restocking fee. The item return label must have an RMA# supplied by us, or the return might not be accepted.
For standard shipping items, the return fees are free, and a return label will be provided. LTL freight shipping items are the customer's responsibility, unless there is an item defect and a valid claim is filed with photos and all requested information.
