Beautiful Original 1963 Bangkok Travel Slides

This lot features original 35mm slides capturing the stunning architecture of the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) in October 1963. These slides provide a wonderful mid-century look at one of the world's most famous religious sites.

Identifiable Landmarks Include:

• Phra Siratana Chedi: The massive bell-shaped stupa (chedi) on the upper terrace.

• Phra Atsada Maha Chedis: The distinct, colorful porcelain "Prang" towers (the corn-cob shaped spires).

• Phra Mondop: Glimpses of the ornate library and royal pantheon.

Condition:

These are authentic vintage slides. Please note the typical "Ektachrome Pink" color shift common in 1960s film, which gives them a distinct retro aesthetic. The mounts are sturdy cardboard and are stamped with the date "OCT 63."
