Historical Notes: C.K. Bell was Charles Keith Bell (April 18, 1853 – April 22, 1913).  He was an American attorney and Democratic politician who served as a member of the Texas Senate from 1884 to 1888, including during the 19th Legislature in 1885. His role was Senator for the 23rd District based upon 1885 records. He served on the Senate Committee on Internal Improvements and the Senate Committee on Constitutional Amendments during the 19th Regular Session. He was born in Tennessee and moved to Texas in 1871 and was admitted to the bar in 1874.  He practiced law in Hamilton Texas. Other career highlights included he was a District Attorney from 1880-1882, Judge of the 29th and Judicial District (1888-1890). He represented Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives (1893-1897) and served as Attorney General of Texas from 1901 to 1904.

 

Condition: It is in good condition with normal letter folds and toning at the margins. It has 2 punch holes a the top of the letter.  Note the Ebay tag is loose and not part of this sale.

 

  It is approximately 8 1/2" x  11" in size.
