This is a superb  Negretti & Zambra Barograph. It features an 8-day platform escapement movement that is fully functional and requires winding once a week, with a regulator for timekeeping. To operate, one should set the drum to the correct day and approximate time on the chart paper, wind the movement, and adjust the needle to the paper using a small amount of ink from the glass ink bottle. The movement is made of gilt brass.

It has a hinged glazed top with bevelled glass panels on each side and a solid oak surround that rests securely on the base. The base includes a chart drawer, and the barograph itself has a chamber with fold bellows and a platform lever escapement clock movement. It is mounted on a polished base with a chart drawer and frame.

Regarding its condition, this barograph dates back to approximately 1940 and includes side columns, a chart drawer, and spare charts It also retains its original lacquer. The barograph is in good working order and comes with charts. Overall, the condition is good, with the movement and mechanism functioning well, and the case is undamaged with nice patina.
