Convert the signals from differential to single ended at the motor by bolting a CCA to the back of the motor along with a cooling fan.  Solve two problems at once. 

Teknic brand servo motors have an integral motor driver unlike most stepper motors. The SDHP Teknic motors require a 5VDC-24VDC single ended voltage for STEP and DIRECTION signals.   Most CNC controllers (MASSO, ACORN) typically output STEP and DIRECTION commands as RS-422 differential signals in a complimentary positive and negative voltage.   While it is possible to directly connect the differential signal to the motor input it is not recommended by the manufacturer.  Direct connection invites problems for noise and missed signals due to temperature changes on the semiconductors which can be exacerbated in high noise environments.

SOLUTION (SDHP MOTORS ONLY)

  The CCA provides the following features:

• Uses same 8 pin Molex Min-fit jr. connector as the motor input.
• Output of the CCA connected via a 0.5M cable ( Not Included) to the Teknic motor control input. 
• Motor Fault output is included and requires a 24VDC source.  Motor fault output is active low (0VDC).
• Motor Enable powers the CCA and enables motor at the same time.
• Fan powered by a 24VDC terminal block on front of circuit card.
• Uses 3 3.5mm screws (not supplied).  User must tap motor with a 3.5mm tap prior to CCA/FAN installation.
• 60mm Fan NOT Included.
• LED indicators for troubleshooting (STEP,DIRECTION,FAULT, POWER)
• USB port on motor still accessible.
