Mixed to order in Mg Monogram Orange Grove colour code EAD. This listing is a multi-option listing for both RFU (Ready For Use) and Neat (Unthinned) basecoat.

RFU (Ready For Use)
Supplied pre-thinned and ready for spraying.
Thinned by 50% at a 1:1 ratio (equal parts basecoat + thinners).
Neat (Unthinned)
Supplied unthinned. You must add basecoat thinners before use in a spray gun.
Typical mix for spraying is 1:1 (equal parts basecoat + thinners).

Note: This basecoat colour requires a clear lacquer over the top for gloss and protection.

Coverage depends on gun setup, colour, number of coats and the size of the repair. If you tell us what you’re painting (e.g. bumper / wing / full side), we can recommend a size.

Spray-Gun Application (Quick Guide)

  1. Prep and de-grease the panel, then mask surrounding areas.
  2. Apply primer as needed and sand smooth (finish with fine grit).
  3. Mix basecoat:
    • RFU: ready to spray.
    • Neat: add thinners for spraying (typically 1:1).
  4. Apply 2–3 light/medium coats, allowing flash-off between coats.
  5. Once flashed off, apply clear lacquer as normal for a durable gloss finish.

Important Notes

  • Colours can vary due to previous repairs, fade, application method and screen settings.
  • Always test on a small area/spray-out card before painting the full job.
  • For best results, apply in suitable temperatures and follow safe working practices (PPE, ventilation, etc.).
