Description: A very nice example of the first printing of the first edition. In the Banbury Cross Series. A lovely book  containing two stories: "The Sleeping Beauty" and "Dick Whittington and His Cat". Illustrated throughout by R Anning Bell with black and white drawings. All present and correct. 

Original cloth boards with gilt decoration and titles. 6 inches by 4 inches. The book is in attractive condition with light wear and bumping (see pictures). Red ribbon marker to the rear cover is detached. Binding sound and square. Light toning to the original decorative end papers (see pictures). Free of inscriptions.  

A very nice example. Scarce.
