Up for sale is this Scarce, OLD or Antique Sand? Cast Brass Bell with Cast Iron or steel Handle & Ringer. It is embossed: 1878 Saignelegier ~ CHIANTEL FONDEUR. Bell has a sharp, even, long lasting sound. It measures 4 7/8" across base and is about 4 1/2" high including handle and weighs over 2 pounds!!! This is a LARGE size for this brand of bell (majority of them are smaller). Where and how this brand of bells was created depends on which internet source you read, so will let you decide. Please enlarge and look at ALL photographs to see details & condition. Also read the condition description / seller notes for any additional info. This would make a GREAT addition to ANY Brass, Cow, Bell, Antique, Old, or Nice / Long sounding bell or historical collection.
