(1888-1965) Raymond Whitcomb Bliss was a United States Army medical corps general who served in World War I, World War II, and the Korean War. During his forty-year military career, he researched innovative practices that advanced the health of those in the military and the civilian sector. He was involved with opening the Army's first radioactive isotope laboratory.
