Civil War Era Leather-Covered Powder Flask – AM Flask & Co – Embossed Hunting Motif – ca. 1850–1870
Offered is a scarce mid-19th-century powder flask manufactured by AM Flask & Co, with the original embossed leather covering over a tin-bodied flask and brass spout. These leather models were produced in smaller numbers than pressed brass flasks and were favored by sportsmen for their noise reduction and visual appeal.
The body retains its embossed decorative hunting motif, consistent with the period and American sporting market.
