Onion Ornamental Star of Persia Allium Christophii is a perennial plant native to Western Asia and Southeastern Europe. Ornamental Onion seeds can be started indoors or directly outdoors in spring or fall. Also known as Downy Onion, Allium Christophii forms clumps of foliage with strap-shaped, gray-green, basal leaves and blooms with the enormous, scented 8-10" wide spherical flowerheads comprised of up tp 100 starry, violet-pink florets with prominent silvery shine and green eyes. This Ornamental Onion starts to bloom in late spring, and its very dhowy, long-lasting flowers make a nice transition from the spring to summer garden! The fragrant Allium Christophii flowers are a fantastic nectar source for the honey bees and they also attract various polinators including butterflies and hummingbirds.

Onion Ornamental Star of Persia is an outstanding perennial flower that is popular for planting in containers, rock gardens, cottage gardens, flower borders, along pathways, small or large groupings, and meadows. Allium Christophii seeds are recommended to be cold-moist stratified prior sowing them. Star of Persia Ornamental Onion is easily grown in rich, sandy to gritty, dry to medium moisture, well-drained loams and this plant performs best in dry, sunny areas of the garden tolerating drought. Plants may self-seed in the garden. As a cut flower, this Ornamental Onion is excellent for both fresh cut and dried flower arrangements.

For domestic U.S. shipments, safe delivery is guaranteed, and if the shipment is insured, the seeds lost or damaged during shipment will be replaced at seller's expense. Claims must be made within 15 days of shipment. All other replacements, refunds, returns and exchanges will be made at the sole discretion of the seller.

Seed is a live product which depends on many important related grower skills such as proper planting time, seed depth, type of soil, irrigation, proper use of fertilizers, weed controls, fungicides, insecticides, disease free soil, and reasonable weather conditions during the growing period. Germination is affected by such factors as temperature, moisture content, light intensity and contamination of planting media. These factors are totally out of the seller's control and are the buyer's responsibility and risk. Consequently, the seller cannot unconditionally guarantee seed to perform properly regardless of conditions or the buyer's methods or mistakes.

This is the sole warranty; we make no other, express or implied. We cannot guarantee establishment of seed due to various factors over which we have no control. Liability, whether contractual, for negligence or otherwise, is limited in all respects to the amount of the purchase price of the seeds, regardless of the nature, cause or extent of the loss. It is expressly agreed that this limited remedy is exclusive and that we shall not be liable for any damages over and above the purchase price of this product. And as a condition to any liability on our part, we must receive notice by registered mail of any claim.
